Law Student Internship Opportunities

Research & Writing
Spring Semester, 2025

Volunteer Research Assistants/Writers (RA/W) are needed for a book project on tort law. The position is open to JD candidates (all years) and LLM candidates.

The RA/W will assist in the research and writing for the annual supplement (“Pocket Parts”) for BALDWIN’S OHIO PRACTICE: TORT LAW 2d (West/ThomsonReuters), the only treatise on Ohio tort law in existence.

Each participant will gain knowledge and experience by thoroughly dissecting recent developments in Ohio tort law, while being guided and directed by the Author in a friendly (ie: Non-Socratic) mentorship. This is an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and expertise.

As we have done since 2010, 6-8 students from across the state of Ohio will be selected for this project. Students who are interested in writing, willing to work hard and eager to set themselves apart from their peers (and their competitors in the job market) are encouraged to apply. The project will run from the end of January through June, and the positions will be part-time (on average, about 5-6 hours/week or less). These are “cyber-commute” or “work from home” positions and students from across the state are encouraged to apply, regardless of location.

This project might be available to satisfy your pro bono credit. Please check with your school to verify.

To apply, please email a resume and writing sample:
